Barbara Bricker
Broker

Barbara Bricker, in true coastal Carolina fashion, has been coming to the NC mountains for decades. Claiming Charleston, SC as her hometown, she and her family spent many summers vacationing in the cooler climate of the Blue Ridge. She has climbed the trails of Chimney Rock, slid down Sliding Rock in the Pisgah Forest, camped beside the Rocky Broad River, square-danced in mountain dancing halls, roasted marshmallows over open fires while listening to tales of the Cherokee Indian maiden throwing herself off a cliff in hopes of being united with her slain lover in the after life …. okay, okay, you get the picture. Those summers in the mountains instilled a deep love for this area in Barbara’s heart. As she grew older, she relocated to Hilton Head Island and began a 30-year career in print and graphic communication. Later, she and husband, Bill, began taking long weekend trips up to the NC Mountains to see if he loved the area as much as she did. He did! So, the couple relocated here in 2013. The love affair continues.

Several friends and clients from the coast have asked Barbara’s opinion and advice about relocating up here or having a second home here. This gave birth to the idea that she might provide this service on a professional basis. She is licensed in both North and South Carolina and stands ready to share her love of this area, and her insight into every day life here with those interested in making the move up to the mountains.

Interests

On Hilton Head Island, Barbara’s interests included acting in many community theatre productions, serving on the boards of the Friends of the Library, the American Heart Association and a regional printing board. She continues her love of theatre by serving on the local board of the Tryon Little Theatre. She also serves as a volunteer with The Salvation Army, the Polk County Republican Party, the Afro-Latino Festival and is a member of First Baptist Church in Hendersonville
