Tim has been connected with the Carolina Foothills all his life. His maternal ancestors immigrated to the “Southern Frontier” in the 18th Century following the wagon trails blazed by Daniel Boone.
Temporarily living in Florida, his parents met in Miami at the beginning of America’s involvement in World War II. Therefore, Summers and Holidays were enjoyed in both Florida and the Foothills region.
After receiving a full track and field scholarship from Tennessee Tech University, Tim returned to the area to teach in the Spartanburg County School System. Then in 1980, Tim became involved in the Cable Television Industry which resulted in a move to Atlanta. He served as the Assistant Director of Operations traveling extensively across the United States.
By 1990, he was able to return to the Foothills and became involved with the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center. Tim represented FENCE in the community as the Representative to several regional Chamber of Commerce organizations, Chairman of “Found A Friend” , Chairman of Community Resource Council, and served on the Board of Directors of the Tryon Riding and Hunt Club. Volunteering with the equestrian community in Tryon, culminated in being certified as a National Technical Official by the International Olympic Committee, enabling him to judge at the World Games in 1995 and then at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Tim received a Certificate Degree from Duke University in November 1999 in Nonprofit Management.
Before taking Medical Family Leave from FENCE in December 2001, Tim was the Director of Program Services. After finishing familial responsibilities, he decided to take a five-month sabbatical to New Zealand and others parts of Austral-Asia. Upon returning to the United States, he went to Florida to work with family interest and subsequently received a Real Estate Brokers License there.
Tim joined New View Realty in 2010. He brings years of experience and expertise from the corporate and nonprofit world, plus associations with many regional and local institutions, organizations and their constituents.
He is licensed in both North and South Carolina and Florida, plus he has the knowledge and associations to help guide clients in their Real Estate endeavors and needs.
